Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using AI Career Shield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and subscribers.

2. Description of service

AI Career Shield provides AI exposure scores, task-level analysis, and skill recommendations for occupational roles based on publicly available labor market data (O*NET, Anthropic Economic Index, BLS) and proprietary scoring methodologies. The Service is informational and educational in nature. It is not career counseling, legal advice, or a guarantee of employment outcomes.

3. Accuracy of information

AI exposure scores and recommendations are based on data available at the time of scoring and reflect our best analysis of current AI capabilities. They are updated quarterly as new data becomes available.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any score, analysis, or recommendation. Your specific job situation may differ materially from the general occupational model. Use this information as one input among many in your career decision-making.

4. User accounts and subscriptions

  • Free tier. You may use the free features of the Service without creating an account. Free features include basic occupation scoring and the top-3 skill summary.
  • Career Report ($12, one-time). A single one-time purchase that unlocks the full task-by-task analysis, 90-day learning roadmap, and career pivot analysis (where a credible lateral move exists in the data) for one specific role. Access is permanent — no expiration.
  • Career Command ($29, auto-renews quarterly). Unlocks the full report for any one role of your choice during the active period. Also includes quarterly score refreshes as new AI capability data is released. Billed in advance every 3 months until cancelled.
  • Annual Shield ($99, auto-renews yearly). Same as Career Command, billed annually at $8.25/month. Billed in advance every 12 months until cancelled. You may cancel any subscription at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
  • Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

5. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

All purchases are final. Due to the nature of digital content, we do not offer refunds on one-time reports or subscription payments. If you believe there is an error with your purchase, contact us and we will review your case. For subscriptions, you may cancel at any time to stop future charges; access continues through the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without written permission.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product that repackages our scores or recommendations.
  • Attempt to circumvent any technical measures that limit access to paid features.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual property

The AI Career Shield platform, scoring methodology, visual design, and original written content are owned by AI Career Shield. The underlying occupational data is sourced from O*NET (CC BY 4.0, U.S. DOL/ETA), the Anthropic Economic Index (CC BY), and BLS (public domain) — these remain subject to their respective licenses and are credited accordingly.

8. Third-party links and affiliate recommendations

The Service includes links to third-party educational platforms (e.g., Coursera, Udemy). Some of these links are affiliate links through which we may earn a commission. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, or availability of third-party courses. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI CAREER SHIELD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of Indiana.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated terms here and update the effective date. Material changes will be communicated to subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
